Gehen wir zurück ins Jahr 1974: Die berühmte Schauspielerin Bette Davis gibt eine Party für die Schriftstellerin Anais Nin,
die ihre Freundin, die Musikerin Jackie De Shannon, mitbringt. Spontan beschließt sie, einen Song über Bette Davis zu schreiben.
Die Diva wünscht lachend viel Glück. Sie kann sich nicht wirklich vorstellen, dass jemand ein Lied über sie hören will.
Mit dem Revival kommt der Erfolg. Als der Song 1975 erscheint, nimmt niemand Notiz von ihm. Das ändert sich erst 6 Jahre später, als kurz nach Bette Davis 73. Geburtstag am 9. April 1981 eine Version von Kim Carnes heraus kommt!
A.L.B.A, der ja erst kürzlich mit seinen Reload-Mixes von Last Night A DJ Saved My Life und Rappers Delight
abgeräumt hat, hat nun dieses Thema neu umgesetzt.
Fette Remixe von Belmond & Parker, Scotty und George Geccoo machen Bette Davis Eyes zum echten Ohrwurm.
lets go back to 1974 when Bette Davis hosted a party for a friend when another friend: Jackie De Shannon decided shortly to do a song about here....... the song became a flop with its first release but succeeded finally with a version by Kim Carnes.
Now ALBA reworked the song with Mixes by Belmond & Parker, Scotty und George Geccoo and made ist again a hit on the dancefloors around the world. |
